I cant add to the many comments made already here and on Facebook as to how good a man Ed is. I like to think that those people who shared shared our lives have passed from this world to another and still are. We didnt communicate often over the years but Im very glad we did over the past weeks. I remember Eddie visiting us when we were stationed at NAS Quonset Point. I think he was about 10. I was happy with a sense of caution when he told me he was going to be a corpsman. He loved helping people and I know he loved his children and grandchildren. Rest well Ed, a Docs job is never done. - Uncle Chuck

I remember Ed as being a good Man, Son and Father. He was most loved by his Gram Gus Ostrum who would send us pictures of him and tell us how proud of him she was. They had a bond and we knew she loved him with all her heart . Eddie was a really Good man, he served and continued serving all his life . I know that now hes with his Mom and Gram in Heaven looking down on us all and most of Resting Easy . He will be missed and Im so glad we got to speak to him the day before he left this world . RIP Ed, you will be missed Aunt Carol
