Patrick K. Dunbar, 67, of Latham, passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Patrick is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Bariteau) Dunbar and his three daughters who always made him proud, Monique Dunbar, Christina Murray and Virginia (John) Maloney. He is also survived by his three beautiful granddaughters, the joys of his life, Angela and Alicia Murray and Kendalyn Maloney. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born in Watervliet, Pat was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Virginia (Murphy) Dunbar; his brothers, James, Dennis (Barbara) and Edward Dunbar and his sister, Kateri Place. Pat was retired from the Town of Colonie and was an AVID fan of his retirement. Besides spending time with his family, Pat enjoyed summers at his home on Saratoga Lake, fishing, boating, Elvis Presley, dancing, karaoke, cars and "useless knowledge." Family and friends may call on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC, 1855 12th Ave., Watervliet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 25th Street and Seventh Avenue, Watervliet. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. At Pat's request, please no flowers. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Fund.
