Frederick C. Fink Jr.

Frederick C. Fink Jr., 85, of Watervliet, NY, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born on August 24, 1940, in Albany, NY, to Ruth (Fredericks) Fink and Frederick C. Fink Sr., Frederick was a devoted son, loving husband, and proud father.

He attended Albany schools and served honorably in the National Guard. He worked as a foreman at a pallet company for many years and was known for his skills as a handyman-always ready to fix, build, or lend a helping hand. Frederick loved bowling, fishing, hunting and going for long rides in the country with his wife, but what he treasured most was spending time with his family. He had a warm smile, a quiet sense of humor, and a heart that cared deeply for those around him.

Frederick is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Loretta (Emory) Fink; his children, Sharon Nelson (Dan), John Fink Sr., and Ruth Rivers (Jacob Sr.); grandchildren, John Fink Jr., Adam Fink, Jacob Rivers Jr., and Katie Rivers; and great-grandchildren, Hazel Rivers and Braxton Mahar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth (Fredericks) Fink and Frederick C. Fink Sr., and his brothers, Eugene Fink Sr. and Ronald Fink Sr. Frederick's life was marked by dedication, love, and a quiet strength. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and dearly missed by the family who loved him most.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00am in the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC 1855 12th Ave, Watervliet. Family and friends are invited and may visit from 9-11am prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands NY following the service.
