Grace E. Holland

Grace E. Holland Troy - Grace E. Holland passed away peacefully on December 7, 2020. Grace was the wife of late John G. Holland Jr. Devoted mother of John (Nancy) Holland, Thomas (late Michael) Holland, Edward (Nancy) Holland, Scott Holland and mother in-law of Jeannine Holland. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Andrew, Matthew, Dillon, Elizabeth, Maria, Allyson, Jennifer, Meghan, Joseph and Casey; 5 great grandchildren, Mason, Aubrey, Braelynn, Kinsley and Calan. Survivors also include her brother John Mac Roberts, sisters in-law Judy Mac Roberts and Virginia Holland, her niece and “sister” Carolyn Pinzer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Grace enjoyed gardening, flowers and her pets. Her home was filled with happiness and all were welcome. A pot of coffee was always ready! The mother of five boys and their many friends, Grace was always ready for whatever excitement came her way. She loved being surrounded by her family and provided them with her support and unconditional love. Grace will be missed. In addition to her husband, Grace was predeceased by her son, Mark Holland, her parents Addison Amadon and Hazel Hamilton; siblings Allen Mac Roberts, E. William Amadon, Eleanor Weatherwax, James Mac Roberts and Jean Puzzuto. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Van Rensselaer Manor. The care and support were greatly appreciated by Grace and her family. Family and friends are invited to visit with Grace’s family on Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Ave. Troy. Burial will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy on Friday at 10:00 am
