Jamar D. Wells

Jamar Durell Wells, son of the late Marvin Bell and Linda Wells was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 27th 1980. He passed away September 28th 2025 in Albany, NY.

Jamar was known to most people as Jah but growing up he was affectionately known to family and friends as "The Pa" or "Destroyer". Jah attended elementary school P.S. 260, J.H.S IS 68 aka Bildersee and Canarsie High School. Jah moved to Albany, NY in 1998 where he made an abundance of friends and family.

Jah loved to be in charge of everything, he wanted to be heard and did not mind being the center of attention. To know him was to love him. Jah loved and enjoyed being with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by dad Marvin Bell, mom Linda Wells, brothers Wayne & Herbert (Tony) Wells.

He was survived by wife Nichole Wells, son Yikym Wells, daughters Taysha Wells & Emani Wells, step sons Isaiah Washington and Grayson Sherlock, step daughters Alicia Gonzalez, Adelle Gonzalez and Sofia Gonzalez. Brothers Irving (Kendu) Wells,(ShaKeesha Wells) Leon Wells, Jamil Vergara (Melissa Vergara) & Basim Vergara. Sister Linda (Nikki) Wells. Brother n law Eric Burke, Mother in law Patricia Burke, Nine nephews, four nieces and host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and an enormous amount of friends and family.

Jamar has left an everlasting imprint on our hearts. His joyous, caring loving and infectious spirt will be missed dearly.

Family and friends are invited and may visit with Jamar's family on Friday October 3rd from 3-5pm in the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC., 1855 12th Avenue, Watervliet.
