John E. Ernst

John E. Ernst, a lifelong resident of Albany passed peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was the son of the late Edward and Rita Ernst. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. John retired from the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam. He is survived by his sister, Beverly Cavallaro; brother, Gary Ernst (Donna) of Florida; nephew, David Cavallaro (Dan); niece, Tyeese Cavallaro; and great-niece, Sydney Cavallaro. He will be missed by many family and friends. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
