Joseph M. Cheetham

Schenectady, N.Y.

Joseph M. Cheetham passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 29th 2024. Joseph was the son of Charles J. Remkus and the late Christina Mink- Remkus and was the longtime companion of Andrea R. "Annie" Inman.
Joey, as his family and friends called him, was an amazing human. He cared and loved deeply for his mother that unexpectedly passed in February 2019.
Joey loved hunting and hanging out with his family and friends. He loved his cats and listening to music.  Joey loved his brothers and sisters at his hunting club and most of all the peace he found in nature.
He was a graduate of the class of 2000 from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District.
Joey was employed for 19+ years at Lowes, he worked primarily helping people in the electric and plumbing department...always wanting to help people solve their problems.
 He adored his beautiful life partner of 25 years, Annie and their 14 year old daughter, Alexis and did all he could to protect and love them.
Joey is survived by one sibling, his sister, Tina and brother in law(Ron Colon) He loved and cherished their relationship and with deep love comes deep grief.
He was raised by an amazing man that he called Dad (Charles Remkus).
Joey has many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins that he adored

Joey was an amazing friend and would go out of his way to help anyone.
Joey is no longer in pain and is now with his Mom.
Over the rainbow and until we meet again, he will be deeply missed and will always be remembered.  His smile was contagious and he wanted happiness and peace for everyone that touched his life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd. Loudonville. Family and friends may call at Konicek & Collett Funeral Home, Watervliet, on Tuesday from 4:00- 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory would be appreciated to the National MS Society, 321 New Karner Rd. Albany N.Y. 12205 .
