Marie A. Consuello

Marie A. (Appio) Consuello passed away peacefully in the Delmar Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Friday May 15th. Daughter of the late Joseph and Judith D'Antio Appio. Beloved wife of the late Dominic Consuello.

Born and raised in Albany, Marie was a 1978 graduate of Albany High School where she was a member for the Albanettes acapella group. An avid lover of music and singing, Marie had a real talent for singing and preforming. A frequent concert attendee, Marie had a love for groups such as KISS, Peter Frampton, the Bee-Gee's, and BTS just to name a few. Marie attended Monroe University in Rochester for a short period of time following her high school graduation to study nursing. She was a past employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance in Albany, where she was a manager of medical records. As her career rolled on, Marie met Dominic at the office where their relationship started and ultimately led to their marriage in May of 1990.

Marie is survived by her daughter Joann Consuello; stepchildren Courtney () Bernard, their children Lillie and Eli, Christopher Consuello, his children Connor and Amelia; her brother Jame (Sherri) Appio and her sister-in-law Valarie Appio. Additionally, Marie is survived by her niece and nephews Paul Jr, Jennifer, Zachary, RJ.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie is predeceased by her brother Paul Appio.

Family and friends are invited and may visit with Marie's family on Friday May 22 from 9-11am in the Konicek & Collett Funeral Home LLC., 1855 12th Avenue, Watervliet. A prayer service will immediately follow the visitation in the funeral home. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
